Lisa served as a Board Member with the Orange County Dispute Settlement Center from 2011-2016. She currently serves as a Board Member for the Center for Cooperative Parenting. Additionally, she is a member of the following:

Lisa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with minors in Business and Education, from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, North Carolina, in 1988. She received a Master of Arts in Education in Counseling from Wake Forest University in 1991. Lisa received her Juris Doctorate in 2000 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
As a board member with the Center for Cooperative Parenting, Lisa participates as a trainer for parent coordinators and civil guardians ad litem.
Lisa was first trained as a custody and visitation mediator in 1992. She was employed as a Custody/Visitation Mediator for the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) until she left her work to attend law school in 1997. She received an additional 40-hour training in mediation skills while in law school, and again in 2005 in order to enhance her mediation skills. Lisa has experience in traumatic incident debriefing in providing support and counseling services to victims and offenders of domestic violence. She also provided group counseling to victims of sexual assault and their families.
