First, a few details (just a brief resume): Lisa Wagner is certified by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as a Family Law Specialist. Her practice focuses on family law litigation and appellate practice, collaborative family law and mediation. Ms. Wagner is a Certified Family Financial Mediator by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission. Ms. Wagner is trained as a Guardian ad Litem and Parenting Coordinator. Ms. Wagner received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, with minors in business and education, from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, North Carolina in 1988. Ms. Wagner received a Master of Arts in Education in Counseling from Wake Forest University in 1991 and a Juris Doctorate in 2000 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ms. Wagner was first trained as a custody and visitation mediator in 1992 and was employed as a Custody/Visitation Mediator for the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) until she left that work to attend law school in 1997. She attended an additional 40-hour training in mediation skills while in law school and again in 2005 in order to enhance her mediation skills. Ms. Wagner has experience in traumatic incident debriefing, in providing support and counseling services to victims of domestic violence, group counseling for domestic violence offenders and support and counseling services to victims of sexual assault and their families.
Ms. Wagner is a member of the North Carolina State Bar; the North Carolina Bar Association, serving on the Child Issues Subcommittee; the 15B Judicial District Bar Association; the Orange County Bar Association; the North Carolina Association of Professional Family Mediators as a practitioner member; and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Ms. Reynolds is a founding member of Collaborative Divorce Solutions, a collaborative practice group in Chapel Hill, and is a board member of the Center for Cooperative Parenting in Chapel Hill and the Orange County Dispute Settlement Center in Carrboro.    A former board member for the North Carolina Coalition Against Sexual Assault, Ms. Wagner has served as a volunteer for the Women's Center of Chapel Hill.
Lisa Wagner lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and has one daughter, five step-children and more pets than any person with good sense would have. She enjoys horseback riding, spinning fiber into yarn, knitting, reading and cooking, and is a volunteer for the Triangle Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic.
